Most interesting, in my opinion, is to focus on the lakes of Sverdlovsk Oblast, since many people prefer to spend their summer weekends in such places.
There are lakes located in the vicinity of Yekaterinburg. These are Shartash and Baltym, favorite spots for vacationers. And for those who prefer to escape the daily urban bustle, Lake Tavatui is suitable. But the huge advantage is that the lakes of Sverdlovsk Oblast are valued by fishermen who, both in winter and summer, are ready to tirelessly fish there. I can assure you that throughout the entire period of the formation of the Urals, each of the lakes has not only a rather old but also an amazing history, the roots of which date back to the times of ancient tribes.
It often happens that people do not believe their eyes when looking at photographs of landscapes taken from the water surface or shores of the Sverdlovsk lakes. It seems to them that this is some kind of exotic nature. Sometimes doubts creep in that all this beauty is located somewhere very close to our homes. Undoubtedly, the lakes of Sverdlovsk Oblast are the best option when choosing a place for fishing or recreation.
The cleanest and most beautiful lake is considered to be Baltym, which is located in the territory of Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Its area is approximately 27.5 square kilometers. Let me tell you a little about how the lake is fed. Mainly through groundwater from fissures and local surface runoff. The water in the lake is simply crystal clear. The depth of Lake Baltym is about 5.5 meters. Around the lake there is deciduous-coniferous forest. It is for this reason, because of such picturesque surroundings, that Baltym is a favorite place for residents of Yekaterinburg. On the eastern shore of the lake there is a Fisherman's House. After all, many different fish are found here. And what is also appealing is that getting to the lake is not that difficult. You just need to take a bus that goes along the Verkhoturye Highway and get off at the 18th kilometer. After walking about three kilometers, you will reach the southern shore of the lake.
The lake is quite active in the summer season, because so many people flock here that there is literally no room for a bird to land. But, as is known, this does not have a very favorable effect on the ecology of the reservoir. However, special measures are being taken that prevent the ecological state of Lake Baltym from deteriorating. After all, you will not find lakes like those in Sverdlovsk Oblast anywhere else. And we must cherish this!
