Thus, the average cost of a room in Moscow hotels from July to September 2008 increased by 2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 259 euros, which is the maximum value of accommodation prices in hotels worldwide.
In particular, the average cost of a room in a five-star hotel in Moscow is 328 euros, while accommodation in a four-star hotel in the Russian capital costs 194 euros. At the same time, in the three-star segment, booking hotels in Moscow turned out to be lower (123) than the average price for accommodation in a two-star hotel (188). Therefore, it is not surprising that an increasing number of guests of the Russian capital prefer to rent an apartment on a daily basis, because Moscow offers a fairly wide choice in this segment.
Overall, during the third quarter of 2008, the average cost of hotel accommodation worldwide decreased by 3%. But the global statistics showed negative dynamics due to a sharp drop in hotel accommodation prices in North and Latin America. In Europe, the opposite trend was observed - prices there increased by 2%.
