Dubai is the business heart of the UAE and the entire Middle East
There is a country in the world that the crisis has affected less severely than others. That is the UAE – the United Arab Emirates. Little has changed: the bright sun still shines, the sea is just as clean and gentle, and the locals are still happy to see tourists.
There are two ways to get to the UAE – book a ticket on a commercial flight in advance or rent a private plane. If tickets for suitable flights are no longer available, renting a private plane is the only way for you to vacation in the UAE.
From a tourist's perspective, the most attractive emirates are Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and, of course, Dubai.
Abu Dhabi – The Capital of the UAE
This emirate is the business heart of the UAE and the entire Middle East. Luxurious cars, chic boutiques, amazing shopping malls… It seems that all the most expensive things in the world are gathered here, and the richest people live here. Dubai
Most likely, you will fly into the main airport of the country, which is located near the city of Dubai. If you are there for the first time, you will be simply amazed. Without exaggeration, the airport is equipped super-modernly. And the designers worked hard on the interior: have you seen anywhere in the world the tallest palm trees growing under a dome and almost touching huge crystal gilded chandeliers?
The standard of living in this country has reached a point where the need for public transport has disappeared. You will only travel by taxi, which here consists only of new executive-class cars. Always confirm the cost of the trip before departure, as it can vary greatly among different drivers.
The city of Dubai became known worldwide for the Gold Souk, the man-made islands shaped like a palm and continents, and the Burj Al Arab hotel (known as 'The Sail'). This is the only seven-star hotel in the world. The cost of accommodation is from three thousand dollars per night. Even if you don't stay there, just go see it – photographs do not convey the full grandeur of this unusual building.
Although other hotels fall short of 'The Sail', the level of service in them is beyond all praise. You can expect spacious, luxurious rooms, jacuzzis, Internet, televisions, air conditioners… Rooftops often have helipads – business aviation is more developed in this country than anywhere else.
Be careful while shopping in Dubai – resisting the temptation to spend all the money you have with you will be almost impossible.
Ras Al Khaimah – The Soul of the East
Compared to the capital, Ras Al Khaimah is a less wealthy emirate. However, here you can visit many preserved architectural monuments. The influence of the West is not as noticeable as in Dubai: you can feel the spirit of the East, the bright, unique character of the country.
Having visited the UAE once, you will not be able to deny yourself the pleasure of returning. There is some special zest in this country, something that will draw you back again and again.
