Believe me, there is plenty to see in our country. And to surprise yourself and your loved ones, you don't have to go to the ends of the earth. Holidays in Kyrylivka is an opportunity to combine business with pleasure. From the sea coast, you can head to protected areas and admire wild nature or archaeological monuments. If you are a curious enthusiast, go ahead for knowledge!
Stone Tomb
Don't be afraid, you won't see anything scary here. No crypts or sinister corpses. Just a hill covered with emerald grass and huge stone blocks located on an absolutely flat area. Some of them have no definite shape, others represent enormous men, women and children carved from stone. Many statues exceed the average human height by two or three times.
There is a legend that Amazons once lived in this area. Perhaps modern Ukrainians are witnessing their legacy. If you like solving riddles, then at the Stone Tomb you will have a unique opportunity to satisfy your inquisitive mind.
Biryuchiy Island
The national nature reserve is home to a large number of wild animals. You can observe them without cages, in their natural habitat. Mouflons (wild sheep), fallow deer, deer, and horses roam freely across the steppe.
About 30 species of birds inhabiting the island are listed in the Red Book. Here you can see pheasants, wild ducks, kestrels, cranes, bustards, peregrine falcons, and gray partridges. The untouched nature impresses with its beauty and grandeur. Both adults and little travelers will enjoy such a walk.
Askania-Nova
Coming to Kyrylivka and not visiting the Askania-Nova arboretum, located very close to the sea resort, is simply a crime. In this reserve, a majestic picture opens up to visitors. More than a thousand species of wild animals roam the steppe expanses and live, unaware of the existence of cramped cages. Deer, kulan, donkeys, zebras, gayal, antelopes, saiga, and even Bactrian camels appear before the eyes of visitors.
The excursion includes, besides visiting the zoo, a tour of the botanical park, the virgin steppe, and the Great Chapelsky Pod (a unique depression measuring 4 by 6 meters filled with meltwater).
Khortytsia Island
The homeland of the Zaporozhian Cossacks. This place is known far beyond the borders of our country. Europeans and Asians come here to see and feel the spirit of the Ukrainian people. The national reserve will allow you to do this to the fullest.
Here the color of the Cossack era is reproduced. If you want to be imbued with the warrior spirit of our ancestors, we recommend visiting Khortytsia.
