Many folklore festivals take place in the Czech regions
Prague is one of the main attractions of Europe, a beautiful city keeping secrets of distant, forgotten times. Architecture here is represented by the most diverse eras – from antiquity to modernism. Picturesque central Bohemia is located around Prague. Going here on a day trip, you can see a lot. Karlovy Vary, Marianske Lazne, spa resorts – these are in the west, in West Bohemia. This area is known for its green forests and hilly terrain, and although there is a huge influx of tourists every year, it can be said that it is relatively quiet here.
If you want to see the largest natural sandstone bridge in Europe, then go to North Bohemia. You also need to visit the National Park – the main attraction of this place. East Bohemia is extremely diverse – here there are fertile valleys, plains, and the highest mountains in the Czech Republic – the Giant Mountains, where you can also go skiing. Well, do not forget to visit the Dvur Kralove Zoo.
Southeast of Prague is South Moravia. Folklore and folk art festivals take place here, where you can fully immerse yourself in the spirit of Czech culture. The castles of Kromeriz, Lednice, the multifaceted Telc, as well as the Moravian Karst – a region known for its limestone caves – will not leave you indifferent.
North Moravia is an extremely picturesque and attractive region, and importantly, little explored by tourists. Skiing in winter, hiking in summer, sunny valleys and flowering meadows in spring – you can safely go here at any time of the year! Numerous hotels and cottages are very cozy and it seems that you can stay here forever! If desired, you can visit the city of Olomouc – a treasure trove of attractions, architectural and historical monuments. The region has preserved its style and traditions, and everyone will feel cozy and at ease here.
