As for the type of work that our students do abroad, it mainly concerns the service sector. For example, in the USA you can often find Russian boys and girls working in cafes as waiters, bartenders, dishwashers, garbage collectors, and doing any other menial work. By the way, getting a job as a waiter is sometimes not as easy as it seems, because the number of people wanting this position is always large. This is because representatives of this profession usually receive tips, the monthly amount of which can reach a third of their salary.
There are also many applicants for the position of porter or an ordinary employee of a beauty salon. In the first case, the monthly salary itself is attractive, as is the nature of the work. Those who get a job at a hotel may even be offered room and board, that is, free accommodation and meals. In the second case, the opportunity to use cosmetology procedures on favorable terms, such as photoepilation, peeling, various masks, and so on. In addition, spa workers, when very busy, often receive a bonus in the form of a cash bonus or a series of free sessions.
Job advertisements abroad are usually posted in universities. You can also read about various similar offers in newspapers. But the best way to find the desired vacancy, of course, is the Internet. There are plenty of options on the global web. There are websites of hundreds of companies that act as intermediaries in processing documents and work visas for students and other categories of citizens.
By the way, there is a misconception that people over 50 are not hired for work abroad. This is not true. For example, in Finland there are special programs for picking wild berries and strawberries. They mainly involve retirees, as the earnings are small, but the requirements for the work schedule are lenient.
Well, and most importantly, every one of our compatriots working abroad has the opportunity to relax well at the end of the workday and on weekends: swim in the sea, sunbathe, go to a museum or visit an exhibition of fine arts. That is, combining work and tourism does not interfere with each other at all. Rather the opposite – the more fruitfully you work, the more money you will get, and therefore, the better you will rest afterwards. Quite a good motivation for those who are not used to sitting idle!
