A vacation on a tropical island can well be called heavenly, if heaven for you is sun, wind, water, comfort and seclusion, and you, for example, are a star. Like Barack Obama, who is now writing his memoirs on the island of Tetiaroa, an atoll near Tahiti, once owned by Marlon Brando (he bought it a few years after filming "Mutiny on the Bounty"). The place is now considered one of the best eco-friendly resorts in the world. Along the coast of the island there are 35 private villas, several restaurants, bars, a spa and a fruit garden. By the way, the villas are not located on the water, but away from the beach, so as not to disturb sea turtles in their natural habitat.
You can only get to the island by the resort's private plane; the flight from Tahiti takes twenty minutes. The vacation here is so secluded that it is simply impossible to meet the service staff face to face – they, of course, fulfill any whims, but try not to be seen. All this is not cheap – prices for accommodation on Brando's island start from €2.4 thousand per night.
However, it is not at all necessary to choose an island where the guests will be exclusively movie stars and politicians. Vacationing on a private island has become such a widely available service that rental ads have even appeared on the Airbnb website. But we warn you in advance: a vacation on a private island does not imply a complete absence of infrastructure and people. Rather, it is a VIP-category resort with a minimum number of guests and no need to wake up early to grab a sun lounger.
ISLAND OF CAVALLO, FRANCE
Cavallo is located in one of the most picturesque corners of Southern Europe, in close proximity to the coast of Corsica. Almost uninhabited, sun-scorched Cavallo has long been known as the "billionaires' island." In 1967, it was bought by Jean Castel, owner of the trendiest Parisian club Chez Castel. The famous film "Lisa" with Catherine Deneuve was also shot here. Now the place is famous for its all-encompassing spa treatments.
Lovers of noisy parties may find it boring here, but for a honeymoon, the European resort is ideal. A night surrounded by white beaches, rocky shores and a Mediterranean atmosphere on a rented island will cost €330 in a double room.
ISLAND OF ZIZANJ, CROATIA
A vacation on the island of Zizanj resembles the atmosphere of the famous novel "Robinson Crusoe": untouched nature in the form of dense green olive groves and crystal clear waters of the Adriatic. The island is small; no more than 14 guests (10 adults and 4 children) can vacation here at the same time. But if you gather a group for vacation, the island will be all yours.
The place will appeal to yachting enthusiasts. By the way, yachting in Croatia, due to the absence of strong currents and winds, is also suitable for beginners. The best time to rent the island is considered to be from May to October. Prices start from €8 thousand per week.

A vacation on the private island of Lupita can be an excellent addition to African safaris. The place is ideal for photographers, as well as lovers of pristine nature.
The resort, covering an area of about 52 hectares, is located on Lake Tanganyika (the longest freshwater lake in the world) in western Tanzania and is surrounded by mountainous terrain. Just imagine the sunsets here in the evenings!

FORT NO MAN'S, GREAT BRITAIN
You can go to Great Britain for sunbathing only if you are an inveterate sun-phobe. But here it is green and quiet. Fort No Man's is located on a unique private island in the Solent Strait between the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth. This is a small strait, the waters of which are sheltered from strong Atlantic winds and waves. It was here that the Romans once called the coast Albion for its white chalk cliffs.
The fort was built in the second half of the 19th century to protect Portsmouth. For a long time, the place was exclusively oriented towards wealthy people – in confirmation of this, a helipad and an indoor pool are equipped here. Now the fort is still considered one of the most exclusive trips in Great Britain and a landmark for residents of Hampshire. A night for two will cost £400.
PETIT ST. VINCENT, CARIBBEAN
The island of Petit St. Vincent is located a 55-minute flight from Barbados. Unlike many Caribbean resorts, there is no hotel chain here, so a premium-class vacation surrounded by equally select guests is guaranteed. Initially, the owners of the island wanted guests not to cross paths during their vacation. But guests chose a different option: drinking cocktails together at the bar or meeting for dinner at the restaurant.
Now visitors stay in small bungalows built of stone and wood. For nature lovers, we recommend a hike to the summit – the path winds through untouched tropical jungle with rubber trees and local orchids.
BERRY ISLANDS, BAHAMAS
The 37-hectare island in the Caribbean is a quiet haven known for its tropical gardens and white sandy beaches. Exotic birds, butterflies and turtles also live here. There are only three villas on the island, and the maximum number of guests does not exceed 12 people.
