At the same time, you need to know that if you are traveling with a child, most countries from the Schengen Agreement area do not charge consular fees for children.
Document processing
For a child to travel abroad, they need a special travel document, which is processed at the place of residence. If the child is traveling together with parents, then they do not need it. It is sufficient if the child is entered in the parent's passport and a photo is affixed. However, in any case, for accommodation in apartments and for traveling abroad, a birth certificate of the child will be needed.
By the way, do not forget about the consent of the other spouse if the child is traveling with one of them. The consent of the father/mother or one of the guardians must be notarized. This document, or rather its absence, can create serious problems for you when crossing the border. In the Russian Federation, parental consent is not mandatory, which sometimes misleads some citizens.
