As the press service of the agency reports, the basis for this was changes in legislation regarding the optimization of the provision of administrative services. The Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Expansion of Powers of Local Self-Government Bodies and Optimization of the Provision of Administrative Services" amended Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Procedure for Exit from Ukraine and Entry into Ukraine for Citizens of Ukraine".
"Now the migration service, when issuing a foreign passport, will not check whether a citizen has restrictions on leaving the country. This will not only speed up internal document processing procedures, but also reduce the burden on migration service employees," the press service said.
The agency notes that from now on, any offer to obtain a certificate of no criminal record for a foreign passport will not only be illegal, but also meaningless.
