Canadian schools are successfully used as a launching pad for further university admission.<\/em><\/p>
Perhaps because of this, higher education institutions appeared in neighboring cities: in Waterloo there are the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, in Guelph – the University of Guelph, in St. Catharines – Brock University, and in Peterborough is Trent University. At the same time, Toronto universities are considered the best in the country.<\/p>
For example, the campuses of the University of Toronto, Canada's largest university, are located throughout the city (including the main university campus in the city center, the East-end Scarborough campus, and the University of Toronto Mississauga in the neighboring city of Mississauga). These universities are among the top three in the country and are part of the 'Canadian Ivy League'. The university campus located in downtown Toronto and named after the street it is on – St. George campus – has its own unique 'spheres of influence'. Thanks to the university, countless restaurants, bars, cheap eateries, as well as bookstores and grocery stores have appeared on this street.<\/p>
Another university – York University – is located on the northern border of the city, although the Glendon College campus is still located on Bayview and Lawrence streets. The main drawback of this university is its unfortunate location. However, bus #106 runs here, connecting Downsview metro station at the end of the University-Spadina line to the ring road in the center of the campus.<\/p>
Ryerson University, on the other hand, is located in the very center of the city. It was once a polytechnic institute, and now it ranks third among Toronto universities. The university is especially famous for its school of management and its journalism program. The campus is concentrated in the Kerr Hall area and occupies a block surrounded by Gould, Gerrard, Victoria, and Church streets. On Bay and Dundas streets there are several more buildings of Ryerson University, including the Ted Rogers School of Management.<\/p>
Ontario College of Art and Design is located on Queen Street West and Spadina. Seneca College – Canada's largest college, with sixteen campuses extending beyond the city.<\/p>
George Brown College consists of two campuses: St. James is downtown and Casa Loma is on the outskirts of downtown. Humber College also has two campuses: Lakeshore and North.<\/p>
As you know, in addition to higher education institutions, Canadian schools<\/a> are also very popular among foreign citizens. And in this regard, Toronto also has something to offer – as in other Canadian cities, there are dozens of English-language schools here. And the Canadian Association of Private Language Schools unites many educational institutions, where instruction is offered in both English and French.<\/p>
