India attracts tourists, generously bestowing 'spices' of exoticism and colorful outfits. But the most striking 'color' pleases the eye in the separate state of Goa. Celebrating New Year in Goa is an ideal option to get a lot of new impressions and enjoyment from the trip.
To get a closer look at this beautiful island, it's worth familiarizing yourself with its attractions. When you come to Goa, you must visit the city of Hampi, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Its ruins tell of past grandeur, and the settlement inside the city is a religious center at the Virupaksha Temple. Also a must-stop on the journey should be the majestic Dudhsagar Falls, which takes your breath away.
For tourists, there are many excursions, both short and long, taking a whole day and turning into a real adventure. Nearby there is also a zoo with exotic animals. Having visited the ruins of the city of Vijayanagara, which, by the way, was founded in 1336 by a Telugu princess and became one of the largest Hindu imperial capitals, but after the city was attacked, it was looted and fell into decline. Its ruins are an interesting cultural monument that allows you to touch the unique and mysterious culture of the ancient world.
Next, we have an interesting excursion program that includes a trip to Little Tibet. How many films have we watched with Shaolin monks, and how many more are yet to be made about them! We are given a unique opportunity to visit Buddhist temples, and see in person how the monks serve, take part in meditation. Having received valuable lessons and advice from 'Russian-speaking' people, we continue to get to know this amazing place.
An interesting point in our trip will be visiting the Arch of the Viceroys, which was built in memory of the landing of the great navigator Vasco da Gama. Passing through the arches, you feel a magical connection with Goa, such colorfulness of the locals and responsiveness leave warm memories of this place, and relaxing spa treatments in local hotels put thoughts in order, and lull you with music brought here by the sea waves.
