Not long ago, for those tourists who do not want to rent apartments in Odessa on a daily basis, a hotel appeared near the railway station, equipped in one of the old workshops of a tram depot. The hotel is positioned as Japanese, equipped according to the type of hotels popular in the land of the rising sun with tiny rooms that contain nothing besides a sleeping place, shower, toilet and washbasin. The area of the rooms is several square meters; some rooms have a TV and air conditioner.
The living conditions in such a hotel are not very familiar to Europeans – there are no windows or balconies, tables or dishes in the rooms. Foreigners still like to use the services of companies with English-speaking staff, such as Odessa apartments, which can offer high-class apartments in the very center of the city. However, the affordable price ensures that the hotel rooms, especially in summer, are not empty.
For example, a single room in the hotel in August 2009 cost 95 hryvnias per day, a double room – 180 hryvnias. Quite an acceptable price for many guests of the city, given the convenient location in the center of Odessa.
