German Career Fairs – 2018

As Deutsche Welle notes, at major German career fairs to be held in 2018, company representatives and recruitment specialists will provide detailed consultations to job applicants and answer any questions. Moreover, you can submit your resume and have an interview right at the exhibition booth.

JANUARY

KarriereStart – the largest job fair in Saxony. In 2017, it was visited by over 30,000 people. For more than 15 years, this fair has served as an information platform for anyone who wants to get an education in Germany, as well as find a job in international business or start their own business.

FEBRUARY

Mein Karrieretag – a career fair organized by HR managers of world-famous companies in the hospitality, gastronomy, and tourism sectors. Their favorite venues are German metropolises. You will find the schedule and meeting locations on the website Meinkarrieretag.de.

CAR-connects – the largest career fair in the automotive industry in German-speaking countries. Over 100 manufacturers and suppliers will meet with thousands of students, graduates, and young professionals. The fair will feature specialized seminars and other events for those seeking employment in the automotive industry. Admission is free, but registration is required. In 2017, this fair was held for the first time in Munich and Mannheim, and this tradition will continue in the new year.

Job40plus – a series of career fairs for experienced professionals in mechanical engineering, information technology, and IT consulting. They are looking for those who can boast considerable professional experience. Interviews will be conducted in specially designated areas, and nearby you can get free career advice or listen to expert talks.

Information on dates and locations can be found on the Job40plus website under "Termine Jobevents." Admission to the fair is free. The first fair will take place in February in the Bavarian capital.

APRIL

Jobmedi – a job fair in the field of medicine and care for the sick and elderly. The number of missing specialists is growing. In 2018, the geography of the fair will be expanded for the first time. It will be held in three federal states – North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, and Berlin.

Connecticum – a specialized job fair for students and graduates, where employers and young professionals interested in engineering, computer science, and economics meet. Women&Work – the only specialized career fair for women in Germany. As part of an extensive program, visitors will be able to network with companies, interview with potential employers, and plan their careers with the help of consultants. Since 2011, it has established itself as the largest fair in Europe offering career opportunities exclusively for women. For the first time in 2018, this event will be held in Germany's financial capital.

MAY

JURAcon – a series of events for professionals in the field of law. They are provided with platforms to communicate with representatives of leading law firms on employment and career topics. For the first time, this fair will also be held in Munich.

Akademika – the largest job fair in southern Germany. It is primarily aimed at students and graduates in fields such as engineering, economics, and computer science.
