The average annual salary of German doctors is 84,233 euros before taxes. The highest incomes are for specialized specialists and chief physicians, who earn more than one hundred thousand a year.
For a large salary, workers in the financial sector should go to Hesse, namely to Frankfurt am Main. On average, bankers, insurers and financiers are paid more than 66,000 euros per year here. The highest incomes are for employees involved in cash management – specialists in optimizing services for corporate clients.
High salaries for engineers employed in the chemical and oil refining industries – more than 68,000 euros per year. Engineers in pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and energy earn slightly less: they receive from 64 to 66 thousand euros gross.
IT specialists earn an average of 64,000 euros gross per year in German companies. Their salary strongly depends on higher education; without a diploma, you can only count on 58,000. Male IT sector workers earn six thousand more per year than their female colleagues. The most promising region for these specialists is Hesse.
Specialists with a legal education are in fifth place in the top highest-paid professions in Germany. On average, they earn 63,000 per year. Lawyers working in enterprises can count on a higher salary – more than 74,000 gross.
Closing the top ten highest-paid professions in Germany are insurance agents, financiers, trade workers, marketers and specialists in the natural sciences. Among the most promising areas that applicants should now choose, experts included medicine, law, industrial engineering and applied computer science in economics.
The salary level is influenced not only by education and region, but also by work experience. Another important factor is the number of employees in the company. In large German corporations, you can count on higher earnings.
