Most travel websites contain the same information, so many tourists end up only visiting the most popular attractions. Of course, they are interesting and important, but such places tend to be very crowded and have a tense atmosphere. Often one wants to take a break from this and discover something new, perhaps unexplored. But for that, sometimes you have to conduct entire search operations.Moreover, the word "travel" itself is often associated only with other countries, while many forget about their own. Yet there is also a lot of interesting and unexplored things in one's own country, things that seem as attractive to others as foreign lands do to locals. A gift to society
To help Ukrainians get to know their own country better, a group of activists created an interactive map. They marked all the country's attractions on it, dividing them into three groups:• Architecture;
• Events;
• Places.
The first group includes attractions in the traditional sense – museums, castles, fortresses, from the most famous to the less popular. The second group gathers events, festivals, and celebrations along with the dates when they will take place. The third is dedicated to various natural places: forests, nature reserves, canyons, and all sorts of abandoned places. Even abandoned cities were not forgotten. When you click on each marked point, a photo and a brief description of the place or event pop up.
Now, if you are browsing the latest news of Kyiv and see a report about an event you want to witness, you can immediately open the map and find the venue. Perhaps you will like something and the trip will become even more exciting, because it is always pleasant to discover a couple of new places. Especially if they are so wonderful that you want to return again and again.
