Choosing real estate abroad is a rather difficult process that requires a special approach. Buying a house or an apartment is not always easy. Several obstacles may arise on the way to a successful deal, from choosing a country to the legal specifics of drawing up a contract.
Nevertheless, every year more and more Russians seek to become owners of foreign real estate. This is due to a number of various reasons, the first of which is the desire to gain confidence in the future.
Mindful of defaults and cycles of crisis, people try to invest in sources that are guaranteed not to depreciate in a month or two, and, in the worst case, will be as useful as possible for their owners. For this reason, many prefer to buy, for example, real estate in Bulgaria, rather than an apartment in a new building in their city.
The second group of Russian real estate buyers are those who have sufficient free funds to afford an additional property for recreation. Typically, such buyers consider resort countries as priority destinations. In first place is Bulgaria, followed by several countries with roughly equal indicators. For example, real estate in Spain regularly finds its buyers, and it has become noticeably cheaper recently. In short, resorts will always be in demand.
There are also buyers who view the purchase of foreign real estate as a business venture. And that is correct. With the right approach, properties abroad can generate serious rental income. And here it is not necessary to buy a house or cottage near the beach; such properties, although in demand, take a long time to pay off because their attractiveness depends on the season, weather, and the presence of cheap hotels nearby.
An interesting option could be buying housing that would be converted into a mini-hotel for business people. There are known cases where seemingly completely unpromising buildings were recouped many times over. It was precisely their 'transformation' into a roadside hostel that provided the main profit.
Thus, we can say that foreign real estate can solve several tasks at once that the new owner sets for it. And such versatility continues to create high demand for housing in other countries.
