Experts have named the 25 best tourist trains in the world
Compared to last year's version, the list has undergone some changes. Excluded from it are the Spanish Al Andalus Express, the Canadian Canadian Rockies Steam Express, the American GrandLuxe Express, and the Mexican Sierra Madre Express. Their places have been taken by the Norwegian Flam Railway and Bergen Railway, the Swiss Bernina Express, and the English British Pullman.
The list also includes the European Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and Danube Express, the Swiss Glacier Express, the Spanish El Transcantabrico, the Scottish Royal Scotsman, the Indian Palace on Wheels, Toy Train and Deccan Odyssey, the Chinese Shangri-La Express, the Eastern & Oriental Express in Southeast Asia, the South African Blue Train and Pride of Africa (Rovos Rail), the Canadian Royal Canadian Pacific, Rocky Mountaineer and Canadian, the Peruvian Andean Explorer and Hiram Bingham, the Australian Ghan, Indian Pacific and Sunlander.
As Travel.ru notes, the list also includes the Russian "Golden Eagle – Trans-Siberian Express." Places within the list of 25 best trains were not ranked.
