Our Chinese Happiness

From China – with love

For centuries, people have tried to discover the secret of happiness – simple human happiness! Some representatives of the human race succeed, while others can only dream. Nevertheless, the secret of happiness was discovered long, long ago – four thousand years ago, in ancient China. Since then it has spread throughout the Celestial Empire and neighboring countries, but not everyone possesses it. Those who live in harmony with cosmic and earthly laws possess it.

The cosmic wisdom of the East is increasingly attracting Europeans. It has become fashionable to get Thai massage, sleep almost on tatami, furnish one's home in the spirit of minimalism, keep a koi fish in an aquarium, eat rice with chopsticks. The Chinese word 'feng shui' – an ancient art that teaches one to live in harmony with the surrounding world – has become familiar.

For some, simple home coziness is enough for harmony. A person thinks: I'll furnish my apartment with bamboo furniture, buy lamps with beautiful backlighting – and I can meditate every evening. But the Chinese know: besides the well-known feng shui of space, there is an even subtler matter – inner feng shui, or feng shui of the mind. It also improves our life – through the organization of inner, mental space, balancing the energies of yin and yang on the level of spirit and soul. And it improves it faster and more tangibly than rearranging furniture! This is the most universal method of changing life for the better: moving the front door or changing the location of windows is not always possible, but you can set yourself up for well-being and happiness in any house and in any room!

Inner feng shui is incredibly effective, because our consciousness has enormous power, and because thoughts are material, and because the world is beautiful, and for each of us incredible treasures are stored in it; we just need to take them. For this, luck is needed.

The Chinese believe there are three types of luck: heavenly luck, which determines our birth and is beyond our control; earthly luck, which can be attracted through the feng shui of space; and human luck – the one we create for ourselves through our moods, thoughts, and actions. This luck can be activated with the help of inner feng shui; it can even be managed.

How it is done

It is known that the capabilities of the human brain are practically inexhaustible. And the brain is controlled by consciousness. It turns out that we need to learn to control our consciousness, and then we can move mountains, or even better – create our own luck! There are no born losers in the world. We all are potential winners, geniuses, and millionaires. The main thing is to think about it more often. Note: negative and unhappy thoughts cause Homo sapiens to feel unhappiness, while positive and happy thoughts cause a feeling of happiness. I am happy – and the life-giving energy 'qi' begins to fill the heart. So, first of all, we need to learn to think about our luck and fortune as an absolute truth.

And vice versa: thoughts and words like 'I can't', 'I am a worthless person', 'I was unlucky' program us for future failures, misfortunes, and disappointments. However, this is not hopeless either. With the practice of inner feng shui, this situation can be changed – it is enough to change the way of thinking. So, away with self-accusations, even humorous ones!

Such reprogramming of one's consciousness according to the rules of inner feng shui should begin with 'cleansing the mental space'. From it, all 'poisoned arrows' that torment our unhappy consciousness must be removed – destructive negative feelings and thoughts. They all fall into one of three categories: anger, attachment, and ignorance. With anger it is clear: it spoils life, destroys relationships with people – even with those we love. On a deeper level, it attracts troubles and misfortunes into our lives. The main thing is to understand that anger is destructive and to want to get rid of it. After you want to stop being angry, begin to analyze why certain people or events make you angry. A miracle will happen: you will become much less angry!

It is harder to admit the danger of 'attachments'. The Chinese put a meaning into this concept that is not what we are used to. By 'attachments' they primarily mean the thirst for possession – possession of things or people. They consider this unacceptable, since there is only one outcome from this state – a feeling of bitterness. If a person wants something and does not achieve it, they feel unhappy. If they achieve it, they still feel unhappy, only later. Because any satisfaction is impermanent; it is replaced by dissatisfaction.

Ignorance, or unawareness, is the third 'mental poison', the strongest. Ignorance makes people underestimate themselves, prevents them from understanding the causes of failures, and makes them losers. Because of it, a negative attitude towards everything in the world arises. Ignorance is expressed in words, so one must be attentive to one's words and thoughts, and about oneself one should speak only positively. No 'I am tired of everything', 'I am tired of this life', 'I can't handle this'. Often we say these words out of simple feminine coquetry. Nevertheless, our consciousness perceives them literally – and they become reality. So it is better to create in your mind a wonderful image of your own person – slim, smart, and beautiful – and it will become so in reality.
