Let's start by defining what makes participation in internship programs abroad so special.
First, the work experience gained in foreign companies is extremely useful for a future career. Second, internships are a unique opportunity to get acquainted with modern business methods in economically developed countries. Third, language practice and testing your knowledge in a real language environment. Fourth, getting to know Western culture and local customs. And so on, endlessly.
The features of each country are reflected in the specifics of internships. Let's talk about some of them.
GREAT BRITAIN
This country has always been famous for its conservatism. Therefore, internship programs had very strict rules with no exceptions. Every student, even with deep knowledge of English, was required to combine the desired practice in a British company with an unwanted language course. Moreover, internships were never paid. The program duration was only 8-12 weeks. The first four weeks the student had to devote to an intensive English course to prepare for the upcoming practice and avoid language difficulties, learn to write a proper resume, and prepare for an interview with the employer, which would play a decisive role in getting the "job."
Now the British government, taking into account students' wishes, has revised the requirements for foreigners to undergo internships – students with sufficient English proficiency can intern for up to 3 months without taking a language course. And receive quite real compensation. For internships lasting from 3 months to a year, students are now issued a Work Permit.
Most often, the trainee is assigned simple tasks or assisting company employees, their progress is carefully recorded, and at the end of the practice, the student receives a letter of reference (recommendation) from the company's management, which is a weighty document for a future career back home.
Internship fields are very diverse and chosen by the student – accounting, advertising, administrative work, business, marketing, computer services, education, finance, graphic design, insurance, commerce, law, social sphere, tourism.
GERMANY
Describing internships in Germany, let's just say – everything related to technology in this country is at a very high level.
Internship Germany lasts from 10 weeks and combines a German course lasting at least four weeks and a six-, eight-, or 12-week practice at some Berlin enterprise. At your discretion, you can order a regular, intensive, or super-intensive German course.
Practice is conducted in the following areas: marketing, banking, insurance, travel organization, graphics and design, social sphere, political organizations, communication technology (Bombardier Transportation, netWalk Internet Solutions, Hausotter primary school, Zitty publishing house, Heinrich Böll Foundation...). You can intern in your desired field, but not at a specific company. All enterprises are located in Berlin.
After completing the program, participants receive two certificates: one from the school and the second from the company where they practiced. The school certificate informs about your German knowledge. The company certificate refers to your professional skills.

FRANCE
Many consider French cuisine to be the most refined in the world. So it's not surprising that Ukrainian students choose France for internships related to the hotel and restaurant business.
Participants in internships in Paris will, over eight weeks, grasp the features of French cuisine and be able to try themselves as administrator, waiter, bartender, manager, restaurant marketer, and even accountant.
Program conditions. Most trainees will practice in the most famous hotels in Paris, where they will be provided with accommodation and three meals a day.
Requirements. Future trainees must either be studying at a Ukrainian university or have a higher education in specialties related to hotel and restaurant management, and be over 18 years old.
USA. Work & Travel USA
This program has several distinctive features compared to Internship UK and Germany. The main feature of W&T is that it serves as good psychological preparation for future internships in the USA or Europe. A characteristic indicator of the program is its ease of processing and the absence of problems at the embassy. The main requirements are to be a student at a Ukrainian university and have English language knowledge at least intermediate. Although W&T USA has strict time limits – a maximum of 5 months.
Internship USA – a longer program (from 3 to 18 months + 1 month of travel around the country) and is designed for students with serious intentions to gain work experience strictly in their specialty and with very good knowledge of English. Interestingly, you can apply for an internship several times, as long as the total stay under this program does not exceed 18 months.
None of these programs require taking language courses; testing takes place directly in our office or by phone, and most importantly, it is real and, oddly enough, cheaper than in the USA is impossible.
