Dominican Republic Invites to a Wedding

One of the most attractive options is a wedding in the Dominican Republic (Dominican Republic). This state, located in the eastern part of the island of Haiti, shares its territory with the country of the same name (Haiti). Despite such a suspicious neighborhood (Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world), the Dominican Republic is a calm country with beautiful beaches and developed tourist infrastructure.

From a practical point of view, in the Dominican Republic you can have both an official and a symbolic wedding ceremony. However, in the first case, this service will cost you quite a lot ($1,500 – $2,000), due to the need for official processing of a large package of documents. In addition, the package of documents must be provided to the travel agency at least a month before the trip, and you will receive a marriage certificate valid in Russia approximately one and a half to two months after the wedding ceremony.

A symbolic ceremony, which has no legal force, with the same package of services, will cost one and a half to two times cheaper (from $1,000).

Since the Dominican Republic is located on an island surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, it is not surprising that the beach is most often the venue for the wedding ceremony. However, there is another explanation for this fact – coastal hotels in the Dominican Republic offer weddings as an additional service, and the beach is always at hand. More upscale hotels in this country offer to hold weddings in a gazebo, bar, Catholic chapel, jungle, and so on. Special coordinators are responsible for arranging the details of this ceremony in hotels, and due to the development of this industry, everything is carried out at a fairly high level.

As a rule, a romantic ceremony includes the following basic services: festive ambiance (decorated venue), transfer from the hotel and back (if the ceremony is not on the nearest beach), the ceremony itself (usually in English), a couple of bottles of champagne.

Musicians and dinner at a restaurant are usually considered additional options and are paid separately. As for other additional services, for example, a photographer in the Dominican Republic will be inexpensive, since the minimum number of photos that can be ordered is only ten.
