Ukraine's Foreign Ministry recommends

"Diplomats, in particular, are recommended to avoid public events," said the head of the MFA press service, Markiyan Lubkivsky. According to him, Ukrainian diplomatic missions have already purchased personal protective equipment. They have also been provided with "financial resources for conducting additional examinations if such need arises."

According to the Interfax-Ukraine agency, at present, in about 20 countries, more than 2,600 people have been infected with atypical pneumonia, and 100 patients have died. The disease is most widespread in China's administrative region of Xianggang (Hong Kong), the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, and Singapore.

At the same time, the Chinese embassy in Ukraine told the agency that the government of that country "is taking practical measures to effectively control the situation." At present, "the infection has been brought under effective control, society is calm, the situation is stable," and "working, living and traveling in China is safe," the embassy stressed.

In light of the fact that a WHO expert group "has fully approved the clinical diagnosis, treatment and necessary measures implemented by China," the embassy of that country asks Ukrainian guests not to worry about the safety of visiting China and hopes that Ukrainian media will facilitate objective coverage of this issue.
