Foreign Ministry advises Ukrainians not to travel to unstable regions

“In particular, the situation remains tense in Tripoli and the northern and eastern areas of the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon. Also dangerous in this regard may be travel to the southeastern provinces of Turkey, including: Istanbul, Izmir, Kilis, Urfa, Mardin, Sirnak,” the Foreign Ministry noted. Ukrainians are advised to also refrain from traveling to these countries.

It is also noted that in case of an emergency, Ukrainians should contact the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lebanon and the Embassy of Ukraine in Turkey.

Recall that the US administration convinced senators to approve a resolution on strikes against Syria. As previously reported, the G20 summit featured active discussion of the Syrian issue. The United States, with the support of a number of states, continues to maintain its position: Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons in Syria against civilians, for which he must be punished. Another part of the summit participants opposes them, insisting that no military action can begin without UN Security Council authorization. There were roughly equal numbers of supporters and opponents of a strike on Syria at the summit.
