Doctors and nurses will have to regularly undergo examinations by a gynecologist, dermatovenerologist, otolaryngologist and other specialists. In addition to the annual medical check-up, they will have to take tests for hepatitis C and B, syphilis, HIV infection and gonorrhea. All medical workers will be vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus, measles, etc.
Doctors and nurses will also be prohibited from growing nails or applying artificial ones. All medical workers are required to wash their hands after every contact with a patient, regardless of glove use. Dispensers with antiseptics for hand treatment will be placed near the entrance to the wards. Additionally, each doctor will always carry a small bottle of antiseptic gel.
The air in surgical departments will be disinfected using modern technologies, including ozone and ionic wind.
To prevent HAI, medical workers are recommended to minimize the length of patient stay in the hospital: not to admit them long before surgery and to discharge them as early as possible. After discharge, patients' mattresses and medical mattress covers, blankets, pillows and even bedside tables with beds will be disinfected.
