Manyava Skete
But even if you have visited all the outstanding places of Ukraine, you have hardly ever seen them from such an angle. The project offers viewers a unique opportunity to see the most special places from a bird's-eye view.
The Carpathians are a treasure trove of history, culture, and an incredibly beautiful place where people come to rest and relax. Nature itself here calls for spiritual enrichment. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Manyava Skete is located precisely in the mountains.
Manyava Skete is one of Ukraine's landmarks that came into the camera's lens from a bird's-eye view as part of the project. It is a monastery built in the distant 18th century. The landmark is located in the village of Manyava in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Today, the monastery is a museum – at the end of the last century, it was decided to grant the landmark such a status. Nevertheless, this did not affect the overall attractiveness of the landscape, the feeling of high spirituality and awe that come with the first step onto the territory of the skete.
Once, 200 monks lived here, so it is not surprising that the Manyava Skete is considered the spiritual center of the country. Here, monks prayed, took communion, and simply replenished their spiritual strength. In those times, the Manyava Skete had under its authority the Galician, Bukovinian, and Moldavian monasteries. The skete is rightly called the Ukrainian Athos in the Carpathians.
