Higher education is represented by several professional educational institutions, but one is truly famous - the University of Malta. It is easier to get into it than into universities in the UK and the USA, while the cost of education is much more modest than in those countries, and educational standards are very high and comparable to Cambridge and Oxford.
But the most popular are the language schools of Malta. All of them are subject to mandatory licensing by the Maltese Ministry of Education. Language centers offer a wide range of training programs of different duration, intensity and for different levels of student preparation. The level of knowledge and goals of students is determined by testing before the start of training. All schools issue certificates to students who have completed the course.
