With the onset of cold weather, the slopes of ski resorts come to life
Among the first to announce its open season was the Abzakovo resort. On October 23, skiers "tested the slope." At the "small" slope of the ski resort, there was a day of open mountains. But skiers are not hurrying there yet. It is clear to everyone that without natural snow and with only one lift, there is nothing to do on the mountain.
The second anticipated ski resort in Chelyabinsk Oblast is Solnechnaya Dolina. The organizers invite guests on November 13. At least, such information is announced in the media. On the same day, an "open season" is also planned at the Gora Belaya resort. This is the most picturesque "elevation" of the Middle Urals. The ski resort is located 37 kilometers from Nizhny Tagil, 163 kilometers from Yekaterinburg, and 387 kilometers from Chelyabinsk. On the local hills, snow lies for three seasons out of the four.
The third popular "meeting place" for Ural skiers is Bannoye. The Metallurg-Magnitogorsk ski resort will open its season in mid-November. Overall, it can be said that it is the 11th month of the year that becomes the "month of openings." By December, 90% of ski resorts are operating at full capacity. The exceptions are the Vishnevaya and Zavyalikha mountains. Here, the season is determined by the weather and the celestial office. You can come to the last resort by the end of November if: a) there is snow; b) there is no strong wind. Given the celestial office's stinginess with precipitation, it is worth going to Zavyalikha in January.
What else can be said? Judging by last season, the management of our ski resorts will try to open their doors earlier than scheduled. In 2009, Sverdlovsk residents updated the slopes in the first days of November. Thus, Ukhtus welcomed the first skiers of the 2009/2010 season on November 1. Artificial snow then was enough only for the "small" slope. Mount Pilnaya opened even earlier – on October 30. Belaya in that same past year started the season on November 7, and Mount Teplaya on November 15. The last to enter winter were Iset and Stozhok.
