The annual Doing Business study assesses the comfort of doing business based on ten indicators – such as ease of registering companies, obtaining construction permits and connecting to power grids, access to credit, protection of minority investors, level of tax burden, etc.
According to the methodology, all components are assigned equal weights. For most countries, the ranking is calculated for one city, but for 11 largest countries with a population of over 100 million people, the ranking is based on indicators for two cities.
The TOP-10 countries with the best conditions for doing business according to the World Bank is as follows:

2. Singapore
3. Denmark
4. South Korea
5. Hong Kong
6. USA
7. United Kingdom
8. Norway
9. Georgia
10. Sweden
At the bottom of the list are Somalia, Eritrea, and Venezuela. Russia ranked 35th, Ukraine 76th. The best among post-Soviet countries were Georgia (9th place) and Estonia (12th).
