As reported by Travel.ru, the authors of Best in Travel included in the top ten cities for travel in 2009: Antwerp (Belgium), Beirut (Lebanon), Warsaw (Poland), Glasgow (Scotland), Lisbon (Portugal), Mexico City (Mexico), São Paulo (Brazil), Zurich (Switzerland), Chicago (USA), and Shanghai (China).
Also, the new Lonely Planet guidebook published a list of countries that are must-visits in the coming year. The list includes Algeria, Bangladesh, Georgia, Greenland, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Peru, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone.
