As for foreign alternatives, the greatest preference was given to Barcelona. Just under 50% of survey participants said that if they needed to change their place of residence to a foreign one, they would prefer this Spanish city. The study also found that the majority of the city's residents prefer its old architecture and practically do not associate London with modern buildings in their minds.
"This survey clearly demonstrated two main points," said the director of the Architecture Foundation, Rowan Moore. - "First, the vast majority of Londoners are loyal to their city, despite all its shortcomings. Second, social stratification is becoming one of the most serious issues for the British capital." A total of 2,000 people took part in the survey.
