Lucky are those who own real estate in Spain and do not have to think about legalization in the country of the Iberian Peninsula. The People's Party, having come to power, announced a verdict for many of our compatriots who are in Spain as illegal immigrants. It's no secret that a large number of Ukrainians are waiting for legalization 'by residence'. The new party intends to pursue a policy so that benefits are available to law-abiding taxpayers. In other words, all those who came to the country on a tourist visa and stayed to wait for residency will never be able to legalize while the People's Party is in power.
Nevertheless, the ruling party promises that there will be relaxations for all those seeking work in Spain. They will be issued visas as job seekers. A work contract is required. According to Rajoy's office, this will be enough to obtain a residence permit.
However, it is hard to believe. Not for nothing, over the past years, a list of professions has been meticulously developed for which one can count on the authorities' mercy when applying for legalization. The ruling party promises not to cut pensions and to keep unemployment benefits at the current level. Time will tell. But all those who have lived and 'trembled' in this enticing warm country for the last two years can apparently pack their bags and return home if there is no opportunity to marry a Spaniard or buy real estate in Spain.
Imagine for a moment that your child has been living on 'bird's rights' for two years, has no right to be stopped by a police officer, lives without putting their head out, waiting for the coveted freedom designated by 'special circumstances'. This stay in Spain lasted three years, so that after this period, one could gather documents and submit them for legalization by residence. Today, a multi-thousand army of illegal immigrants has frozen, swallowing the iron lump of fate. Apparently, the adoption of such a law will cause a storm of indignation. But if the authorities adopt the bill for execution, they will certainly ensure its implementation.
So, while it's not too late, one should think about one's 'tomorrow', by hook or by crook continue to live and work in a country that people several years ago called their second homeland. Foreign real estate has always been a right investment of money and, as our present shows, becomes an accurate and impeccable step towards obtaining a residence permit in Spain.
