"Such a Great Eastern Love"
If we talk about such a trend as sex tourism, it is pointless to deny it. "In no way do I undertake to condemn women who fall for the sweet words and skillful advances of hot machos: after all, it's everyone's personal business," shared her opinion on this matter Larisa Gordeeva, editor-in-chief of one of the travel magazines. "But how these seemingly beautiful resort stories end is a separate topic. Those who have vacationed in southern countries—the same Turkey or Egypt, for example—have surely seen and know how on the very first day of vacation, local residents try to attract all more or less attractive women who came to rest without men. Their goal, of course, is one and the same. Even if women are assured that they are supposedly invited 'only to the disco' and 'just to talk'."
Meanwhile, as animator Leila, who has been working for more than a year in a four-star hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), related, Arabs are not as annoying and intrusive as it is commonly believed. "Yes, they may smile, invite somewhere," the girl explained, "but there is usually no talk of violence. If a girl or woman makes it clear—without smiles (among Arabs this is a sign of easy availability) and without explicit glances—that the bothersome suitor has no chance, he will disappear as quickly as he appeared."
In general, one can see how our own girls and women sometimes behave at any night resort disco. "By the way, in some resorts the pricing policy of discos is structured in a strange way. Local men have the opportunity to go to them for free, for girls the entrance is also free, but male tourists from other countries have to pay for entrance. Not too much, but most still prefer to spend that money in a regular bar." As a result, the night disco ends up with mostly our girls and local men. Both groups are not averse to spending their free time together.
Woman for a Collection
To answer the question of why our women go to the East, preferring Arabs and Turks to domestic men, Strana.Ru turned to sexologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences Yuri Prokopenko. "There may be two options," he explained. "Firstly, simply to hide their sexual adventures, because at home it is quite difficult to do so. For example, the probability that your new sexual exploits will remain unknown is minimal within the entrance of the building where you live, but maximal on the scale of another country, say, the same Turkey. If you like, it is a kind of freedom. Whether from prejudices is another question, but still freedom."
Secondly, it's about the reputation of the so-called 'Eastern machos'. Our women flee to another country to realize their sexual fantasies. And it does not matter to them that the creation of the reputation of 'hot Turkish guys' is mainly the work of the media, and in the most direct way. What awaits them at home? Husband, family, children, problems. And there – men who specialize exclusively in how to properly court a woman, how to seduce her. Well, how can one not give in? So the ladies go for 'unforgettable sensations'. And Eastern seducers, in turn, try, as they say, from the heart. After all, this is their job, and it must be said, they often perform it successfully."
Official representatives of the tourism industry echo the sexologist. "If you observe the behavior of such machos over two or three weeks, you can notice that the matter is literally put on an assembly line," says Larisa Gordeeva. "When I once asked such Turkish don Juans why they need this and moreover in such quantities, they answered me: 'We are men! Our job is to offer, and the woman's job is to agree or refuse. Your women probably lack male attention at home, and they often offer themselves.'"
From the same sources it is known, for example, that before the start of the summer season, some 'hot men' make money bets on who will manage to seduce more women during the season. "Then, at the end of the season, they meet and count the 'evidence'. Everything counts: phone numbers, SMS messages, letters, but gifts and 'photos as souvenirs' are valued most. A certain charming animator from one of the Turkish hotels showed me his collection of photos where he is hugging girls. There were about 50 of them, no less."
Love or Humiliation?
Meanwhile, many of our compatriots pay no attention to these facts. "Our men, unfortunately, have no idea how to behave with a woman at all," complains an ardent supporter of sex with Eastern men on one of the online forums. "But Arabs and Turks know how to court, how to give compliments, how to give pleasure to a woman. Next to them, I feel like a queen."
Of course, one cannot speak like that about all local men working in resort countries. Among them there are also faithful husbands who are not easily seduced by any random body. But many stories on the Internet sites of the respective countries are devoted to what such 'love stories' end up being in most cases. Perhaps, before throwing yourself into the arms of a hot macho, it is worth reading some web pages so as not to torment yourself later with questions: "Why doesn't he call, why doesn't he write?" Because with a probability of 99.9%, he is already seducing another victim.
However, there are exceptions to the rules. “When I was in Turkey, one girl told me this story,” writes a female visitor to an online forum. “She came to Turkey for a vacation (she was from Ukraine), and she liked a Turkish guy there, who reciprocated her feelings. They called each other, wrote letters, and in general, that same year she went to Turkey again, for the second time. In the end, tired of traveling and correspondence, she moved to Turkey permanently. At first she lived in a hotel and worked as a masseuse. Then she married him, and they are still together, already thinking about children. Love.”
“There aren’t enough normal men back home!”
Meanwhile, according to sociologists, the “ardor” of Eastern men is quite understandable: residents of hot Eastern countries have better preserved the reproductive instinct; it’s no coincidence that polygamy is honored among Muslims. And they lack their own women, especially sexually liberated ones, for obvious reasons. So they “work on” our girls, who often mistakenly take such “courtship” as a manifestation of sincere feelings. Other European women are not so naive and initially set themselves a goal—just to have fun. And they have fun, each according to their degree of sexual hunger and their ideas about safety. “My friend slept with a Turk,” says a girl under the nickname Zhemchuzhina on one online forum. “He infected her with chlamydia, and then, when she called him with the best intentions and told him to get checked, he called her a prostitute. So she only had unpleasant impressions from Turks.”
Meanwhile, as experts admit, the situation on the “sexual front” has not changed much in recent years; only the geography has changed. After all, back when Turkey, Egypt, and other Eastern exotic destinations were closed to most of our women, the best lovers were considered to be the native inhabitants of the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus. “I admit, at first I started to get jealous,” ironically says one male site visitor. “Like, girls didn’t fall in love with us, girls fell in love with Arabs. But it turned out it’s just a lack of demand and a thirst for beautiful courtship, even if he were an elderly black man. Well, if that’s the case—good luck abroad.”
“Every girl has a chance to sleep with some Turk,” explained Yuri Prokopenko. “Even one who is not noticed by men at all back home. Such tourists, starved for love, return from resorts in particular delight. Meanwhile, stories about some unearthly, incomparable caresses are nothing more than myths blown up by the mass media.”
Our compatriots complain: how can one even say that Turks or Egyptians are better in bed than us? Some believe that all the romance of the “Eastern lover” is caused solely by the inaccessibility of Turkish women and the accessibility of our women. While towards German women and, even more so, English women, southern womanizers, as a rule, don’t even make a move: they will be rejected, and a scandal will be guaranteed.
“According to statistics, there are more women in our country than men, while some of them are married, some are of non-traditional sexual orientation, some percentage of men drink, some use drugs,” defends the girls a forum interlocutor. “And now try to roughly estimate the probability that an average girl will be able to meet her prince, and he will turn out to be not married, not a drinker, not gay, earning a normal salary, while also managing to find time for romance and giving flowers not only on holidays? That’s right, zero. And don’t ‘spit’ at the girls, saying, ‘You yourselves are wrong if such men hit on you.’ Understand: there aren’t enough normal men back home!”
The price for “love”
Meanwhile, a chance acquaintance, besides a bouquet of venereal diseases, can lead to much more serious consequences. For example, the cause of a recent tragedy with two Russian female tourists in Thailand, according to local law enforcement, was banal female jealousy. Let us recall that two Russian women were shot dead on a beach in the city of Pattaya on February 24. Despite the fact that Anuchit Lamlert, the suspect in the murder of 25-year-old Lyubov Svirkova and 30-year-old Tatyana Tsimfer, confirmed his confession (he still insists that he shot the girls during an attempted robbery), the investigation continues to lean towards the version of a contract killing. According to it, the murder of the girls from Kemerovo was ordered by a Thai woman who allegedly was jealous of them because of her Russian husband, a local resident.
Another option, to put it mildly, of an unpleasant turn of events is sale into slavery. What the media and law enforcement officers are trumpeting left and right remains unheard by many of our compatriots. Almost every day, reports appear that natives of Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, and other former Soviet countries become hostages of sexual slavery. “Hot machos” invite girls deprived of attention to spend an unforgettable evening, and they happily agree. What happens to them afterwards is indeed hard to forget: having taken their passports, they are taken to an unknown destination, and later distributed to brothels. Without money or documents, the girls become slaves of criminal organizations involved in human trafficking.
However, law enforcement officers still manage to conduct operations that result in the liberation of women and punishment of slave traders. For example, on February 1, 2007, as a result of the largest recent operation by Turkish police in Antalya, 76 foreign women were freed from sexual slavery, including from Ukraine, Russia, and Moldova. The operation 'Pink Tango' was prepared over six months and carried out jointly with the Istanbul police. At that time, 31 people were detained, including individuals wanted by Interpol for human smuggling and the leader of an international organization involved in selling women into sexual slavery. However, compared to the vast system of trafficking in 'live goods,' these achievements seem barely a drop in the ocean.
Be that as it may, the problem of sex tourism will apparently remain an open issue, sparking numerous debates in society and on online resources where there will still be no right or wrong side. After all, everyone has already made up their own mind on this matter, and convincing others of the correctness of one’s opinion is simply beyond their power.
