“The peak season in the Balkan countries is July-August. At this time, the cost of renting apartments in Montenegro averages from 50 euros per day,” says Maria Zhukova, director of MediumLine. “At the same time, one can count on all amenities, and the rented accommodation will be located 700-800 meters from the sea.” Renting houses and villas is several times higher – at the level of 100-500 euros per day (700-3.500 in week).

In Spain, during the peak season, a house in a well-known place like the Marbella coast can cost from 3.000 per week. However, for 1.000 euros per week, it is quite possible to vacation, for example, in small villages located in picturesque corners of France, Great Britain, or Germany. Paying that amount of money, one can expect apartments with all amenities.
If you are prepared to vacation outside the summer season, you can significantly reduce your expenses. If in June-August in Montenegro, a cottage on the coast in the city of Petrovac, designed for four people, is rented for 95 euros per day, then in September it is already 65 per day. Moreover, autumn and even winter vacations can have their advantages. “In Spain on the Costa Blanca coast, the warm season begins as early as February – at this time it is from +20°C, citrus trees are in bloom,” says the expert. “For many families with small children, this is an excellent period for renting a house – it is not yet so hot and not so expensive.”
