Crisis left you jobless? Time to become a 'freelancer'!

During the economic crisis, many, alas, face the need to change jobs – perhaps a beloved, once highly paid job, but unfortunately one that has lost relevance in current conditions. It is doubly difficult to endure this if you have to work abroad. Freelancing will help get out of a dead-end situation. On the Internet you can find many vacancies waiting for you!

The word 'freelance' today is used to denote work performed by an employee remotely from the employer (hence the second name – remote work). Modern means of communication make this quite feasible. Creating, promoting and optimizing a website is one of many areas in demand right here. There are many advantages, as well as disadvantages, of remote work. On the one hand – complete freedom of action, impossibility of being fired, reduction of transportation costs. On the other – lack of any guarantees from the employer, including the risk of being cheated out of the reward earned by honest work. On the one hand – no dress code and no sitting in the office 'from bell to bell', on the other – no weekends or vacations.

In our country, the freelance market is still wild (however, with the advent of online remote work exchanges, the situation has begun to change in the right direction), while in Europe and the USA it is a fairly common way to earn a living. Moreover, we can already talk about the emergence of a community of 'freelancers' on the Internet, supporting each other.

The list of specialties available to freelancers, by the way, is already quite large and is constantly expanding. It all depends on your occupation, inclinations and preferences. Journalists who find themselves on the street due to the closure of their print publication should try their hand at copywriting. Work will also be found for programmers, web designers, layout designers, and even screenwriters. Recently, there has been an avalanche-like growth in demand for specialists familiar with the topics of 'site promotion' and 'site optimization'. And even if you have nothing to do with copywriting and web design, and are not friends with the Internet at all, the chance to find remote work is still high: in Europe and the USA, the list of specialties available for freelancers is much more extensive than in our country.
