Czech consulates will speed up issuing work permits to Ukrainians
As reported by Radio Prague, the flow of workers from Mongolia and the Philippines will also increase in the Czech Republic. Visa rules similar to those adopted for Ukraine will begin to apply in these countries. Currently, experts are analyzing the state of the labor market in Serbia and Belarus, said Czech Foreign Minister Martin Stropnický after a government meeting on January 31. According to the minister, increasing the capacity of consular offices will cost the state 50 million crowns (1.9 million euros).
At the same time, officials are considering the possibility of increasing the consular fee for processing an application for a work permit. The attraction of labor resources from Ukraine for use in Czech agriculture will also become more active. The previously set annual quota of 572 people will be increased to 1,500 employees, said the head of Czech diplomacy.
According to the agreement, under the program to attract labor from Ukraine, no more than 9,600 Ukrainian citizens and no more than 1,000 Mongolian citizens could be employed in the Czech Republic per year. The quota for hiring guest workers from the Philippines is similar to the number of Mongolian workers.
