The most comfortable time at the country's resorts is in May, October and November. If you managed to find last-minute tours to Egypt for this period, you are extremely lucky, because tours become more expensive and the best hotels are overcrowded. A real tourist 'boom' begins before the Christmas and New Year holidays; thousands of foreigners dream of spending their vacations and holidays in this hospitable country, and Russians are no exception. Cheap tours for December are practically an unrealistic dream, and the only way to save on a trip is early booking.
In January, vacation in Egypt can be called budget-friendly, tour prices drop because the time of desert winds and 'low' season approaches. There are the fewest tourists in summer and February. The reasons are terrible heat in the first case and strong wind in the second. At the end of winter, it is better to buy inexpensive sightseeing tours to Spain to see with your own eyes the numerous attractions of this European country. In the off-season, their cost will please the most economical tourist. The routes are quite varied; you can choose the one that is more interesting.
You can swim in the Red Sea all year round, even in winter the water warms up to twenty degrees. If you plan to vacation at Mediterranean resorts, swimming here is from the end of April to the end of October, the water is slightly colder.
October and November are traditionally considered the 'velvet' season, and at this time wealthy Europeans flock to Egypt, among whom most are Germans and Britons. It is not hot here, the thermometer rarely reaches thirty degrees, and the water is very pleasant – 24-26 degrees. The only downside is that the closer to winter, the cooler the evenings become, so if you are going to Egypt during this period, be sure to bring warm clothes.
The best time for excursions is spring and autumn. If the purpose of your trip is a visit to the Valley of the Kings, sightseeing in Cairo and the pyramids of Giza, plan your vacation for this period.
