Which soap to choose: bar or liquid?

However, in this article we would like to touch on the topic of choosing soap. For example, which is better: bar (solid) or liquid soap?

The domestic market currently has a huge range of household chemicals. Soaps for body and face, for intimate hygiene, moisturizing and antibacterial, as well as scrub soaps – this is far from a complete list of types available to the regular shopper. Also impressive is the huge variety of manufacturers. In Russia, in almost every store you will find products from companies such as Kalina, Colgate-Palmolive, Tork, Klever, Chistaya i Krasnaya Liniya, Barkhatnye Ruchki, etc.

But let's figure out which soap is best to trust: liquid or bar? So, in order.

The one we all know: bar soap has some advantages. For example, first of all, it is very popular due to its low price and small size. Good old soap washes off quickly with water, both cold and hot, which allows it to be used in almost any conditions. For instance, if you serve in the army, then naturally you are not supposed to have any liquid soap there for the very simple reason that there is no need for it.

Bar soap also has its disadvantages. Probably we all know that in some cases after you get out of the bath, you feel some dryness on the skin. Yes, that is indeed the case because traditional soap has a fairly high alkaline environment. It also dries quickly and absorbs moisture quickly, but personally I would not consider these properties as any particular drawbacks.

In turn, liquid soap Barkhatnye Ruchki (Krasnaya Liniya, Palmolive, Kalina, etc.) has both pros and cons. A low alkaline environment means it practically "does not dry out" the skin. Liquid soaps lather quickly, have long-lasting scents, and are very convenient to use due to the dispenser (you can squeeze out as much as needed). It is worth noting that just one bottle (300 ml) replaces about 2-3 100-gram bars of traditional soap.

Among the disadvantages of modern liquid soaps, two main drawbacks can be identified: higher price (compared to bar soap) and more time spent washing it off the skin. For example, this personally irritates me a lot, so I prefer to use traditional household chemicals.

It should be noted that some people have quite sensitive skin, so only Krasnaya Liniya liquid soap suits them. Thus, this advantage (liquid soap is practically hypoallergenic) is weighty enough to make a choice in its favor.

In general, buy the soap that meets all your requirements and copes with the tasks set before it.
