Rome is the eternal city
Many people are very afraid to go on vacation abroad. For some, even a trip to a neighboring district center seems an insurmountable problem. With Europe, everything is much simpler, and in terms of service, there are no downsides here. Of course, criminal elements exist all over the world, but if you follow certain rules, you can avoid conflicts.
In all cities, there are internet cafes where you can chat online with your friends around the world over a cup of tea. Italy is a very friendly European country. It is a country of temperamental, cheerful, and welcoming residents. Italians treat Ukrainians very well.
Italy for Italians themselves is divided into four main regions – the north (Milan), the south (Naples), the island of Sicily, and Rome. The north is an industrial zone, where the majority of the population lives and works; the south and Sicily are agricultural production zones. The north and south have always been in invisible confrontation with each other – this has developed historically, since the times of the Moorish conquests. But Rome itself serves as a center of reconciliation, and here no one raises these issues.
Rome is not just the eternal city, but also a city with a big heart. It is home to the largest number of churches and monasteries, and of course, the Vatican – an auxiliary sovereign territory of the Holy See. Here, a person in trouble can always count on help. Almost all monasteries have 'carettases' – assistance departments for the homeless or people in need. At the caretta, you will always be fed and clothed, and they can also provide free overnight accommodation if you have documents.
Of course, in winter there can be problems with accommodation, so if you have your return ticket, you can sleep for free at the airport. The waiting room always has Wi-Fi, and on your mobile phone you can just set the necessary statuses to get in touch with your family.
If our compatriot misses home, on Sundays at the Piramide metro station on the square, there are always horilka, salo, and Ukrainian newspapers – Ukrainians rent a stadium from Italians specifically for these Sunday sales.
