Winter clothing for tourists should be warm and comfortable
Such jackets are suitable for any time of year (in winter they are worn over a down jacket). Made of membrane fabric, they perfectly protect against wind and moisture. The most popular model of windbreaker is the raincoat jacket, which is sewn from polymer fabric (polyester, nylon), very light, reliably protecting from precipitation, but not warming, and therefore in cool weather requires an additional layer of clothing.

The lowest layer is a jacket with fleece, down or other filler, performing an insulating function. On top, a lighter layer of membrane is attached, which provides protection from wind and moisture. In "three-in-one" models, there is a third top layer – a weightless raincoat for even more reliable protection from rain or snow.
What to pay attention to when choosing a winter tourist jacket
A jacket for winter tourism and outdoor activities should have a hood. It can be detachable, but if active movement is expected, it is better to prefer non-detachable options, and for skiing, the hood should be adjustable and compatible with a helmet. Cuffs should be tight, pockets should be zippered, zippers should be waterproof.
When choosing a size from two "neighboring" ones, it is better to choose a larger jacket – this way you will have the opportunity to wear a sweater or jumper under it.
