Learning English should be interesting
First, it should not be boring. That means students in the group should be of the same age, and the teacher should be young and energetic. Then he will definitely be able to understand what is truly interesting and what brings boredom. From the very beginning of training, friendly relations are established between students and teachers. The children talk about what interests them. After all, the more comfortable a person feels in the group, the more effective the learning is.
Secondly, it is desirable that native speakers work with each group along with Russian teachers. The main goal of classes with a foreign teacher is to develop communication skills in a foreign language and active conversational practice. It is this practice that allows students to overcome the most difficult barrier in mastering the language – to acquire skills of fast spontaneous speech in everyday communication situations. A Russian teacher can focus on grammar difficulties typical for Russian-speaking students.
Thirdly, it is desirable to study near home, rather than traveling across the city during rush hour.
Fourthly, studying should not cost crazy money. Graduating classes are already expensive for parents. At the same time, the quality of education should not suffer – classes should be taught only by highly qualified teachers, and methodologists must monitor the progress of each group. If the courses are expensive, then it is better to choose a private English tutor. Especially if the tutor agrees to come to your home.
Fifthly, there should be a result: freedom in communication in English, which will allow not only to talk with foreigners, but also to successfully pass the Unified State Exam and entrance exams. Starting classes in September, a student has a good chance to complete a full course of preparation for the Unified State Exam in English, designed for 5-6 months.
A very big plus is the fact that high school students with good results can take an exam for an international certificate, which is recognized by many educational institutions not only in Russia but also abroad.
However, courses are not suitable for everyone. For some, successful English learning is possible only with an individual English tutor. Of course, classes with a private teacher cost a little more, but the advantages of individual learning are undoubtedly very many.
