Sometimes even the king of beasts feels like a hunted victim during a hunt
An entertainment like a safari will give you a sense of freedom, charge you with natural energy, and become a real adventure that will break up your boring everyday life.
The word "safari" itself is translated from Swahili as "journey, trip." Many people, having been on such a trip once, return here again and again. Becoming avid travelers, they begin to study all the new products of hunting weapons and equipment, attend specialized exhibitions and events. The impressions that a safari gives are never forgotten.
But there are several rules. If you follow them, you will eliminate possible inconveniences, and then your trip will become truly amazing and full of impressions.
1. Stay near paved roads
During your walk, try to move only along already traveled roads. By turning off and driving off-road, you disrupt the soil structure and destroy the vegetation of the African savannah, which causes great harm to the local ecosystem. In addition, you risk your life by intruding into the world of animals. They are already accustomed to dirt roads and know where the human place is and where their territory is. When the border is violated, animals perceive this as aggression towards them and may respond in kind.
2. Do not disturb large animals
Usually, when tourists see a cheetah, they immediately drive their car towards it. For an animal that usually hunts during the day, this is a serious problem. Try to overcome your curiosity: do not approach animals closer than 20 meters, and make sure there are no more than five cars around it, and be sure to turn off the engine and maintain complete silence.
3. Observe speed limits during the trip
The speed limit on African safari routes is not a whim but a precaution. At any moment, an animal or even a group of animals may appear on your path. In such a situation, you must immediately stop and wait until the animals move away to a sufficient distance, and only then continue the trip.
4. Do not feed wild animals!
There are several reasons why you should not feed wild animals. First, it can make them dependent on humans and discourage them from hunting. Second, when an animal gets used to humans, it stops being afraid of them, which means it can attack at any moment.
5. Do not pollute the environment, take your trash with you
You came to Africa to enjoy clean air and wildlife. Do not turn the savannah into a likeness of cluttered cities. If a human can survive among mountains of trash, animals cannot. Do not throw leftover food, bottles, and especially matches and cigarette butts out of the car. The African climate can quickly fan a small spark into a natural disaster. Do not forget that reserves are created to preserve nature, not to destroy it completely.
