Building of the Office of the Employment Agency of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic
On the website of the Czech Employment Agency, which falls under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, there is a special section of vacancies for foreigners: http://portal.mpsv.cz/sz (moreover, it is translated into Ukrainian).
First of all, if you are serious about finding a job in the Czech Republic, you need to register on the portal (button in the top right corner). This will allow you to log in, search for or receive information about new vacancies.
The next important section is the list of vacancies by industry. It is divided into three subsections: “University graduates”, “With a school-leaving certificate”, “With a qualification certificate and others”.
For example, in the “University graduates” section, there are 1269 vacancies in the medical field. For instance, a dentist is needed in the city of Mlada Boleslav (near Prague) with a salary of 40-50 thousand crowns per month (1400-2000 euros). The employer is ready to hire a foreigner, as stated in the job description. Dentists are also required in Plzen, Benesov and other Czech cities.
This, of course, does not mean that you can get a job just by having a Ukrainian or Russian diploma – to work as a dentist in the Czech Republic you need to pass certification. And although the Czechs want to limit the exam for foreigners to only three attempts, this is still only in the plans. Nothing is impossible – many of those who strive to move to the Czech Republic cope with this task. Some pass certification and get jobs in Czech state clinics, some even manage to open a private practice.
Let’s move to the next section – “With a school-leaving certificate” – and select the industry “Agriculture and poultry farming”. Here you can see that a company from the town of Svitavy is looking for a zootechnician for a poultry farm. Salary – from 18 to 40 thousand crowns (660-1400 euros) and the employer is also ready to invite a foreigner for this vacancy. The company Selekta Pacov, a. s., for example, hires foreign workers for agricultural work, promises to pay up to 20 thousand crowns per month (up to 750 euros).
The next section we will look at is “With a qualification certificate and others”. In the “Manufacturing” subsection, there are more than 14 thousand vacancies. For example, the employer BUILDING-LT s.r.o. from Litomerice is ready to hire a foreign electrician with a salary of 20-22 thousand crowns (740-790 euros). Agentura Global s.r.o. from Kutna Hora is looking for five machine operators and setters of metalworking machines; it is ready to employ foreigners with a salary from 22 thousand crowns per month. Also, 20 toolmakers are ready to be hired by the company TVD-Technická výroba, a.s from Zlin; monthly earnings from 20 thousand crowns per month.
In other fields of activity (for example, services), there are vacancies for foreign auto mechanics, massage therapists, painters and varnishers, polishers, grinders and specialists of many other professions. There are many vacancies for foreigners – IT specialists.

The state portal of the Employment Agency sometimes “slows down”. But be patient and continue your search.
To sum up, we can say that now is the most favorable time for foreigners to look for work in the Czech Republic. The country’s economy is growing, long-term unemployment in Prague, for example, is one of the lowest in the European Union. In addition, a very large Ukrainian diaspora lives in the Czech Republic: as of the end of January 2016, there are more than 100 thousand people, most of whom already have permanent residence.
Official employment is the shortest and surest way to obtain permanent residence in the Czech Republic, and five years after obtaining permanent residence, the opportunity to apply for Czech citizenship.
