Every summer, we parents ask ourselves the same question: 'How to plan a child's vacation?' You can send the child to grandma, leave them in the city, or have them at a school camp. As an option – organize children's vacation in Crimea, or another seaside location.
Most parents start to worry and fret that their child has never been away from mommy's apron strings. And the longer you worry, the harder it will be for your child to make independent decisions. And the sooner you teach your child independence, the easier it will be for them to make decisions and take the right steps in life.
Now about children's camps. The best are seaside camps. They are located in Odessa, Crimea, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Berdyansk. They are best because your child will be near the sea and breathe sea air. Suburban camps, such as in Sloviansk, sanatoriums of the Carpathians, Western Ukraine and in every region of the country, differ in climatic conditions and natural features. For example, many sanatoriums of Truskavets are located in a large forest park with rarest decorative trees: boxwood, sumac, Weymouth pine, vinegar tree. Nearby are clean rivers and beautiful mountains.
An important point is the counselors. It's better to ask which institute they come from, how old they are, whether they have experience working with children. If a group has three counselors, it's normal that at least one has no experience. The other two will support him.
When sending a child to camp, it is necessary to clarify the phone number of the group coordinator, through whom to get the contacts of your child's counselor in the group. To broaden the horizons of children, it may be interesting to know what delegations of children are coming to the camp, the shift schedule – that is, the main events and how they will contribute to the development of your child. It is very important that there are no paid attractions and entertainments on the camp grounds: shooting range, game consoles, billiard room. Because this is often a way to extort money from teenagers and profit the camp director's relatives.
When choosing a camp, information and reviews can now be found on the Internet. Often the whole truth is written there, and if out of a hundred responses five are bad, then the camp is not to blame. Yes, there are children who are not ready for this kind of vacation. For many parents, the issue of internal camp rules remains important. So, in many camps, mobile phones and money are put in a safe and given out at set times – this is normal. Because it is one of the few rules that help protect your child's property.
According to the law, if your child refuses to hand over valuables for storage in the camp safe, then he himself bears responsibility for them. Employees do not have the right to forcibly take property from a child.
Thus, weigh the camp reviews, the price of the ticket, the set of activities that will take place during the shift, and also check the child's opinion and buy a ticket. Remember, the choice is yours!
