This truly detective story, worthy of Agatha Christie's pen, took place in the small town of Worcester, located in the center of the English county of Worcestershire. Actually, the residents of Worcester themselves set the stage: while admiring the streets of their city on the Internet, they discovered on photos of one street... a lifeless body of a girl lying on the sidewalk! Stunned by this discovery, Internet users literally bombarded official authorities with calls and messages about the terrible find.
However, the detective story ends here and a tale begins about how an innocent prank by an English schoolgirl named Azura Beebeejaun turned into a headache for the city authorities and Google employees for some time.
Almost every Internet user is well aware of Google's famous project, the so-called 'Street View' or Google Street View. For several years now, Google has been filming the streets of most cities in the world from a height of about 2.5 meters, later delighting the most curious Internet users with panoramic views of the captured objects.
This time, one of these 'objects' turned out to be an ordinary English schoolgirl who decided to play a joke on her friends and lay down to 'rest' on the sidewalk, pretending to be dead. It's hard to say now whether the girl managed to deceive her friends in this way, but she undoubtedly succeeded brilliantly in misleading several thousand Internet users, who in turn alerted the police.
When the 'girl's corpse' was finally found, it turned out that Azura was absolutely not disheartened by what had happened. Moreover, the girl told journalists that she could not wait to meet her school friends and tell them about it.
However, Azura is unlikely to face any punishment, since the children, amusing themselves in this way on the streets of their city, did not even notice that the camera installed there by Google was filming them. Although, even if it were an adult who saw that the aforementioned camera was filming him, no court would find anything reprehensible in his actions – a joke is a joke.
