Israel tightens security measures on aircraft

Both local airlines and foreign companies must comply with the new instructions from Israel's Ministry of Transport. According to the new order, pilots are required to lock the cockpit half an hour before landing to prevent hijacking. Passengers, in turn, must take their seats at least half an hour before landing. Previously, as noted by Lenta.ru, travelers were required to return to their seats 15 minutes before landing.
