The conditions for obtaining a visa when applying to the Nepalese Embassy in Moscow have also changed. According to Travel.ru, now only a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 30 days can be obtained there, and the fee is $40.
If necessary, a tourist visa can be extended while in Nepal. The fee for extending a visa for less than 15 days is $30; for extensions of more than 15 days, each additional day of validity costs $2. At the same time, the total period of a tourist's stay in the country cannot exceed 150 days per year, the Nepal Tourism Office reports.
Recall that previously the visa fee was $30 for a single-entry visa valid for up to 60 days, $50 for a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 150 days. At the Nepalese Embassy in Moscow, one had to pay $30 for a single-entry visa valid for up to 60 days, $80 for a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 150 days.
Visas can now be obtained both at the Nepalese Embassy in Moscow and upon arrival at the border at the following points: Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, land crossings Birganj, Belahia, Mohana, Gaddaсhauki, Kakarvitta, Kodari, Jamunaha.
