According to the government resolution, the following diseases were included in this list: HIV infection, leprosy (Hansen's disease), tuberculosis, as well as infections transmitted predominantly through sexual contact (syphilis, chlamydial lymphogranuloma (venereal), chancroid).
These diseases pose a danger to others and are "grounds for refusing to issue or cancel a temporary residence permit to foreign citizens and stateless persons, or a residence permit, or a work permit in the Russian Federation", the text of the resolution, transmitted by the Department of Government Information, says.
