On the night of last Sunday, an operation to detain members of the gang was carried out in five regions of Italy, Interfax reports. About 80 police officers and border guards took part in it. Numerous searches and detentions were carried out.
According to preliminary data, the criminals extorted money from Ukrainian nationals who were engaged in various economic activities in Italy. In particular, close attention was paid to bus drivers who made trips between the two countries.
