Thus, Italians who want to adopt children will have at their disposal data that will allow them not to become victims of numerous frauds. As La Stampa writes, Italian firms that violate the established tariffs will be deprived of their licenses to work abroad. Three levels of rates are provided for the adoption procedure in Italy, depending on the content of the service packages: from 1,360 euros (basic services) to 3,596 euros (services that include assistance to the family that adopted the child).
The document states that the amount of adoption costs depends on the country. The most expensive adoption is in Russia: the maximum amount is 9,453 euros. If the adoption takes place in Moscow, parents pay a one-time fee of 7,800 euros, in St. Petersburg - 6,900. The lowest rates are set in Belarus - 1,900 euros. “Having these rates at our disposal,” says Minister Prestigiacomo, “we will be able to plan the introduction of additional benefits for less affluent families who currently experience difficulties due to the high costs associated with adopting children in some countries.”
The document contains four tables (by continent) that provide data on expenses in various countries. After Russia, the highest expenses are noted in Honduras, Colombia, and Guatemala, while the most favorable conditions for adoption are in Belarus, Morocco, Thailand, and Romania.
President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma instructed the government to strengthen control over compliance with laws regulating the adoption of Ukrainian children by foreigners, the conditions of their residence and upbringing in adoptive families, as well as ensuring the protection of their rights and interests.
According to the Main Department of the Press Service of the Presidential Administration, Leonid Kuchma signed the corresponding document, by which he instructed the government to prepare proposals for involving public organizations of foreign states in monitoring the conditions of maintenance and upbringing of Ukrainian children adopted by foreigners and living outside the country. The Cabinet of Ministers must also prepare and submit to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on Ukraine's accession to the Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in the Field of Intercountry Adoption, signed in The Hague in May 1993, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
