As reported by Travel.ru, the company conducted its research by analyzing 418 thousand travel insurance policies purchased before May 15 with validity from June 14 to September 15. Based on the data obtained, a ranking of popular holiday destinations was compiled.
Second place in the list was taken by Italy (14.1%), third by Great Britain (13.8%). Next are France (9.4%), Ireland (4.6%) and Portugal (4.3%).
This year, the average length of vacation for Europeans is 10 days. The longest vacations are taken by Poles – 13.8 days, French – 13 days, and Dutch – 11.9 days. The most hardworking turned out to be Swedes, who plan a vacation of 8 days, British – 8.3 days, Portuguese and Spaniards – 9 days.
