Now foreigners will have to pay the consular fee when submitting an application for a visa, regardless of whether the applicant receives a visa or is refused. Currently, at Spanish consulates, foreigners pay for a visa only after receiving it. The cost of visas under the new issuance procedure will remain the same, depending on the type and duration, from 10 to 30 euros.
Earlier, the Spanish authorities decided not to legalize any more foreigners among those who are in the country illegally. As a rule, after a certain period, an illegal migrant who found a job in Spain could apply for legalization of their status. As RIA Novosti reports, this practice will now be ended.
